Appel à candidature : Mediterranean Studies Position at the University of New Hampshire (2016) (date limite : 30 oct 2015)
The Department of Classics, Humanities & Italian Studies is an interdisciplinary department, and for this position, in the Humanities Program, we are particularly interested in applicants whose work treats the complexities of intercultural exchange, conflict, coexistence and communication in the Mediterranean Basin between 700 and 1500 CE. Applicants should have strong interests in notions of community, identity, and cultural belonging, and will collaborate in scholarship, teaching and curriculum development with others who work in different geographical, temporal or disciplinary areas. We seek scholars who focus on literature, cultural history, visual culture, performance, or philosophy, and we prefer those who work at the intersection of at least two disciplinary perspectives.
A PhD in any related Humanities discipline in hand by July 15, 2016 is required.
Please upload a CV and cover letter to https://jobs.usnh.edu, and have 3-4 letters of recommendation sent to: Dr. Amy Boylan, Committee Chair, Department of Classics, Humanities & Italian Studies, 316 Murkland Hall, University of New Hampshire, 15 Library Way, Durham, NH 03824. Email: amy.boylan@unh.edu. The cover letter should address how intercultural exchange in the Mediterranean Basin and interdisciplinary study inform the candidate’s research program and teaching interests.
