‘Trade, Travel and Transmission in the Medieval Mediterranean’, 8-10th July 2013

The conference of the Society for the Medieval Mediterranean will take place on
8-10th July 2013 at Churchill College, Cambridge (UK). Key note speakers at the 
conference will be Prof. David Abulafia and Prof. Carole Hillenbrand.


Twenty sessions are planned on the following topics:

·Transmission of Crusader Culture

·Venice and Venetians: Transmission and
Travel

·Travelling Crusaders

·Transmission and trade between Ottoman and Byzantine Worlds

·Travel and Transmission of Religious Artefacts

Registration costs, including lunch and all daytime refreshments are as follows:

•£135 for full registration

•£110 for students, society members or unwaged participants
